When I made this piece, the only thoughts going through my mind were ice cold. It simply was that time of year and I found it rather difficult to focus on anything else, since I'm not a big fan of ye olde freezing-to-death-in-my-own-apartment thing. I'm sure at least most of you can relate to that
On a side note, I'm SLOWLY filling up my gallery again with past... experiments while I anxiously wait for the new art pack by *theluminarium.
oh man,, the ice texture is incredible !! it luks so real... u blended it so perfectly ! i loved this piece most!! As u just said earlier in ur comment dat u used layer style HARD LIGHT.. but however u used it very accurately... i appreciate it
That ice texture is godly!! How did you get it to fuze to the skin so nicely? what layer effect is it set to? Did you just keep it on normal and do extremely specific erasing? Thats really impressive...
I kind of got lucky with the ice texture and its placement at first - it was quite easy to seperate the texture that I wanted from the texture I didn't want It was a rough cut at first, but later on I started to blend it a bit more with the eraser. The layer style was set to Hard Light and I had two copies of the same layer if I remember correctly. The "fused" effect was mainly created with the Burn tool. It was used along the edges of the texture and the same edge on the face to give it more depth. Cheers!
